Cold Glue and Lateral Tension PDR

This vehicle was a perfect candidate for paintless dent repair, featuring a deep impact that required a technical, multi-step approach. We began by applying lateral tension to pull the metal apart, which allows the shallower top portion of the damage to flow back into the deepest part of the dent. To achieve this safely, we used cold glue, a specialized sticky material that moves large areas of metal effectively without the risk of over-pulling. This method results in much less cleanup and a significantly cleaner finish.

Because the deepest point of the dent was stretched, it required precision pushing from behind the panel. This is where true skill comes into play, as the technician must move the metal back to its original position while keeping the factory paint “happy” and intact. We also used a plastic-tipped knockdown tool to release stored pressure in the fender, ensuring the panel returned to its factory shape. The end result was a flawless finish that looks as if a brand-new fender was installed, proving that even deep damage can be erased without a trip to the paint booth.
